What's Good:

The problem with purchasing an economy desktop is that consumers have to personally upgrade the hardware if they wish to perform more advanced functions. The economy desktop is usually stripped down in order to perform basic tasks. The HP A6700f, however, comes pre-installed with both a wireless card and renowned graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 6150 SE), giving the consumer more value from their purchase. The wireless card requires an external antenna (which is included), providing a strong signal that is superior to the standalone wireless card.

What's Bad:

While the the HP A6700f comes with some great hardware out of the box, it also comes pre-installed with HP’s over sized and irritating suite of software. Trying to get your machine to run smoothly at first can be a headache, as HP’s suite conflicts with some of Vista’s processes and applications. One of the main complaints about the suite comes from its incompatibility with various anti-virus programs. However, the solution to this problem is fairly easy and merely involves uninstalling the software which frees up your system to run normally. 

Why it's the Best:

The HP A6700f stands out among other economy desktops with its superior hardware that comes conveniently pre-installed. The wireless card, antenna, and Nvidia graphics card create a nice package that adds an extra kick to a seemingly basic computer. Although the A6700f  has minor software issues, these are easily resolved with basic uninstall procedures. With most economy desktops presenting similar features, the A6700f gets top pick in this category for providing high performance straight out of the box at a very reasonable price.
